Model Public Education College is a specialised institution for teachers training and runs Two-year B Ed classes. The course has an intake of 100 candidates in one batch. Admission to B Ed classes is done on the basis of an entrance test conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the affiliating MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

B Ed is a professional training programme consisting of 4 types of theoretical and professional training activities:

Part I: Six theory and one optional papers of 100 marks each
Part II: Practical course of 100 marks
Part III: Practice in - teaching of 200 marks
Part IV: Educational Tour, Co-curricular activities and preparation and presentation of term papers.

The course involves a variety of activities. Trainees are expected to put in very hard work and they often remain busy throughout the session. In view of this, the trainees are not permitted to undertake any job/course during its duration. The trainees are required to go to and stay at any place, University/Institute or city of educational importance generally outside UP for about 10 days. This study tour is an essential part of B Ed course and counts for the final B Ed result.
